43 an hour 2 days ago 2 days ago 2 days ago Job Description Under the supervision of the Human Resources Director and Assistant HR Director, provides administrative and technical support for the effective and efficient administration of human resources' policies, procedures, and programs.
Assists the department through maintaining comparison salary and benefit data, preparing documents for negotiations, performing market analysis, performing cost calculations and reports.
Assists with ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements and applicable state/federal laws.
This is a full-time benefited position working out of the Fillmore Complex in West Olive, Michigan.
Travel to other County locations as needed.
Typical working hours are Monday-Friday 8:
00am-5:
00pm.
Essential Job Functions The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Conducts salary studies; researches and identifies comparable positions; compiles salary and total compensation data; maintains and updates comparison database.
Maintains a directory of and coordinates with other agencies to obtain data for use in negotiations and maintains current copies of external collective bargaining agreements of other comparable agencies.
Prepares information and data for negotiations using multiple data sources through the use of charts and graphs.
Prepares cost calculations for position requests and as related to the labor negotiation process.
Assists with ensuring compliance with agreements and state/federal law.
Provides front-line customer service to employees and customers.
Answers the department main line phone, processes mail, provides support at the front window in the Human Resources department.
Collects and compiles data for assigned reports and prepares data tables, graphic data presentations and other report features.
Prepares and processes a variety of communications.
Assists with and provides administrative support for wage studies.
Replies to external wage studies as requested.
Assists in the coordination of the employee recognition program and annual awards banquet.
May perform other special projects as assigned.
Performs other functions as assigned.
Required Education, Training and Experience High school diploma or GED combined with post-secondary coursework in Human Resource Management, labor relations, or similar field and two years of progressively responsible experience in a clerical/technical position requiring public contact and strong computer skills; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Requirements and Information Required Knowledge and Skills:
Good working knowledge of office protocols and procedures.
Good working knowledge of labor relations and collective bargaining process.
Good working knowledge of the Ottawa County Benefit Manuals and Collective Bargaining Agreements.
Thorough understanding of confidentiality and employee right to privacy issues and HIPAA requirements.
Good working knowledge of records management principles and practices.
Computer literacy, including thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking skills.
Excellent interpersonal and human relations skills.
Ability to interact positively and objectively with managers, supervisors, employees, trainers, and applicants from a wide range of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds and with varying levels of interpersonal communications skills.
Demonstrates a commitment to provide excellent customer service to people from a broad range of cultures, communities, backgrounds and experiences.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
